Narrative

Styled Col. Settled with father in Concord, N .H., in house selected as a
Garrison House to provide protection against the Indians. Was in service at
Rumford 1747; in area of Amoskeag 1748; Lieut Col of the 15th N. H, Reg 1774;
Col at Ticonderoga & Battle of Bennington 1777 where he distinguished himself.
Selectman 1774, 83/6, Moderator of Town Meetings 1775/8, 85; on Committee of
Safety 1776/7, 9; Representative 1777/9. Moderator of Constitutional Committee
1782. Gave $40 towards new Court House; owned a share in the Concord Bridge.
