Narrative
He was baptized at North Church, Salem; married at St Nicholas Church,
Liverpool, England. He was educated at Bradford and Dummer Academy, Byfield.
Portraits of him, his wife and children were held by eldest son John Knight
[1806]. He left a manuscript "A Romance" relating to Col FRYE during his
sojourn in England as a Loyalist, the trial of his son Peter FRYE Jr for
desertion from the Army; his sentence of death, and reprieve effected by his
grandmother. It was considered to be too personal to publish.
