Narrative

His guardianship granted to widow Hannah STICKNEY, Jun 21 1756. He was
Surveyor of Highways in Bennington, Vt, 1781; on list of voters of Bennington
1786; Pound Keeper 1791. In 1792 conveyed land to Jonathan WENTWORTH who
succeeded him as Pound Keeper. The "Quarterly Gazetteer" records him as being
in the Battle of the 16th Aug 1777. He moved from Bennington, Vt, to Hartwick,
Otsego Co, N. Y. a little south of the Black River Country.
