Narrative

His guardianship granted to widow Hannah STICKNEY Jun 21 1756. Enlisted 1759
from Beverly, an apprentice of Robert DODGE Jr, for the invasion of Canada; In
Foot Co as a private from Boxford 1759; at Louisburg 1760/1; out from Danvers
as a private in the Battle of Lexington 1775; was a Corporal in 1776. Born in
Boxford, married and resided in Beverly till about 1770, returned to Boxford
one or two years, went to Danvers, afterwards to Wenham and finally settled
in Beverly.
