Narrative
Learned the trade of shipwright from Ralph CROSS at Newburyport; planked up
one side of the "Constitution". Buys land in Newburyport Jan 16 1805 of Caleb
GIBBS of Boston which he sells Jan 17 1805 to Henry CURTIS. From Newburyport
he went to the State of Georgia, in the U S Government employ. He went to
Salem about 1805, and worked in Turner and Brigg's shipyard; also in Kent's
of Danvers.
