Narrative
He was the proprietor/editor of the "Journal of Commerce." He lived at Union
City and Marshall, Mich, and from 1845 in Rockville, Ct. For several years
from Nov 11 1862 he was Deputy Collector of US Taxes. He held several offices
in Rockville with banks (stock and savings) and manufacturing companies; was
President of the Carlisle Co, makers of spool-cotton thread.
