Narrative

Admitted to Byfield Church where his children baptized.
Styled Lieut. In Troop of Horse of Rowley, 1757; out 1775 on the alarm of the
Battle of Lexington; again 1777 in N. Y. State; at Cambridge to guard
Burgoyne's captured army. By inheritance/purchase became main owner of the
Long Hill homestead. Died of Palsy. "Was a generous man, of pleasing manners,
polite behaviour, tall and well shaped. Hair was red but chestnut in advanced
years, skin very white and fresh, large forehead, long nose, bright blue eyes.
