Narrative
Warren was added to his name by Act of Legislature. He was born in Byfield
Parish. Received a mercantile education at Byfield and Newburyport; opened a
store in Byfield, was Postmaster there 1828. Moved to Salem in partnership
with brother-in-law Henry HALE in hardware at No 215 Essex St. Admitted a
member of the Tabernacle Church 1831; and choir leader. Served to rank of
Col, 1836/7; General Court Representative 1836; 1836/9 agent in Boston; 1839
Cashier then President of Lowell Railroad Bank. Was living, 1868, in Lowell.
