Narrative
Baptized by Rev Mr BARNARD. On the alarm of Lexington 1775 he marched with
brothers John and Joseph; then marched Newburyport to Prospect Hill,
Charlestown, and to Cobble Hill, East Cambridge, had blistered feet and so
took no part in Battle of Bunker Hill; later took part in the Rhode Island
campaign; in 1833 obtained a government pension. Opened a store, Market
square, Newburyport. Great fire of 1811 burned his store and house in Liberty
St. Moved to Newbury side of South (later Bromfield) St and died there.
