He was living, unmarried, 1868, in Baltimore, Md, of the firm Stickney & Co.
Page 271 of the "Stickney Family" book gives his birth place as Manchester,
N. H; Page 385 as West Brookfield, Worcester Co, Mass. Learned hardware
importing business in Boston; after 1 year in New York went to Baltimore, in
1834 an iron and hardware commission agent for 120 companies in various states
MOved to foreign/domestic iron and coal shipping. Sailed for Europe 1852 in 2
years visiting many countries. He contributed to cost of the family book.
