Father died when he was 2 years of age. Brought up by grandfather Capt David
HESELTINE of Bradford; then Feb 5 1723 John GAGE became his guardian.
Received 50 Pounds from his father's estate. Birth year given as 1704-5.
William became the church Deacon at Billerica.
Was Town Clerk of Billerica 12 yrs; its Selectman 1747; member of House of
Representatives, Justice of Peace and Quorum 1765.
Gravestone still standing in 1869 in Billerica ancient burial ground.
