Narrative

Styled Lieut. In service from Wilmington as 2nd Lieut in 1775, then Ensign at
Battle of Bunker Hill; served again, as private in 1776. When of Tewksbury,
gentleman, bought land on Sutton's Plain, Andover, from Hezekiah BALLARD and
Joseph LOVEJOY, 1785; then adjoining land from John JAQUITH, 1792. Sold all
land in Tewksbury and Andover, 1792, to Francis DANA. His farm lay part in
Tewksbury and part in Andover.
