Narrative
He went South when 16 years old. In 1860 was book-keeper at the "Memphis
Inquirer" office, Tenn, a paper edited by his brother Lyman D, where he was
living, 1865. He had been in the Army, and was Major on General BRAGG's
staff; was unmarried, 1866.
