Narrative
				He enlisted in service Jan 11 1864, under Capt Albert J PRATT, Co I, 56th
				Reg, Mass, Vet, Vol, 9th Army Corps, Gen BURNSIDE. At the crossing of the
				North Anna River, while charging on a battery, was shot through the head and
				instantly killed.
