Narrative
He enlisted from Gardner, 1862, when he was of Templeton, as Sergeant of 53d
Mass, Reg, Co G. He was an invalid soldier, reached New York on the steamer
"St Mary's" from New Orleans Aug 14 1863, and was sent to Fort Schuyler, by
order of the medical director, and from thence to his home.
