He was a twin with Samuel. He was born in Floyd, Oneida Co, N. Y; was a
watchmaker, assayer and refiner of gold in North Carolina and Alabama. When
at St Louis, Mo, ready to set out on the overland route to California he was
seized with the cholera and died.
