Narrative
Served as a private from Rowley 1755; in Third Foot Co of Newbury 1757; as a
private from Haverhill in the Canada expedition 1758 and until the reduction
of Canada; nine months service from Andover in 1778, "aged 43, light
complexion, stature 5 ft 8 in". Lived in Haverhill, Andover, Leominster,
and Jaffrey, N. H. where he lived 30 years, then to Dublin, N. H and Windsor,
Vt. Was in old French War, one of 3 who escaped the massacre at Bloody Pond,
near Fort William Henry, Lake George; they escaped to Fort Edward, 20 miles.
