He graduated A. B, from Yale College, 1856. read Law in New York and his
father's office; admitted to Bar 1857. During the War he raised a Company of
Volunteers, entered service Aug 1 1862, Second Lieut Co A, 35th Reg of M. V;
in battles of Antietam, South Mountain, Fredericksburg; promoted First Lieut
Oct 14 1862; Capt Jun 17 1863. Acted Judge Advocate/Adjutant. Moved to Florida
1864 appointed States Attorney, 6th Judicial Circuit, F; also US Commissioner,
Justice of the Peace etc. Lived, 1868, St Augustine, St John's Co, East Fl.
