Narrative
He was many years a skilful apothecary on State St, and his long and intimate
acquaintance with Newburyport enabled him to assist in obtaining records for
the book. From his grandmother [179] he had Benjamin FRANKLIN's electrical
bells and his engraved likeness autographed "For Dorcas STICKNEY in Newbury."
From his JONES ancestry he had a very ancient and curious gold watch. He had
no children, but adopted two, who were baptized at the Titcomb St Church at
which they were members.
