Narrative

Baptized at First Church, Newbury. Styled Capt. A member of "The Young Men's
Religious Society in the Third Precinct of Newbury" held at the house of
Deacon EMERSON in 1741. In service as Lieut 1756; on alarm list of Foot Co in
Newbury 1757 as Lieut; Capt in expedition against Canada 1760. Buys land in
Newbury from Benjamin COKER in 1753; in Newburyport from his widowed mother
1772; sold land in Newburyport to William INGALLS. Adm of his estate given to
son Anthony. Held the old family records; gave them to Benj Franklin STICKNEY.
