Narrative
He graduated, Harvard College, 1859; was of the Cambridge Law School, and
took first prize Jun 1862, for the Dissertation "Of the Rules and Reasons for
distinguishing Property into Real and Personal." He raised a company of
Volunteers and was appointed Captain of Co A of the 47th Mass Reg Vol
Militia, and was promoted Lieut Col Nov 6 1862. He was, 1868, of the firm of
Stickney & Whipple.
