Narrative
Left school in 1827 and went into the book selling business of R P & C
WILLIAMS and then to Timothy BEDLINGTON in Boston. Returned to Newburyport
and studied with Michael WALSH. Became a christian, fitted for college at
Hampton Academy; graduated Amherst College 1838; at Andover Theological
Seminary and New Haven, Conn 1839-41. Ordained North Church, Reading, Mass,
May 17 1843. Pastor Howard St Church, Salem, 1852; South Berwick, Me, 1858;
West Church, Haverhill, Mass, 1866.
