Narrative
He graduated A. M. at the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia, 1849,
studied law with Hon, James COOPER U. S. Senator from Penn, and George W
STRONG of New York City. Never admitted to the Bar; spent most of his life
teaching, 1868, principal Teacher and Assistant Superintendent in the New
York City Juvenile Asylum.
