He graduated at Dartmouth College 1823, studied Law with Hon Henry B CHASE at
Warner, N. H; admitted to the Bar at Concord, N. H, 1826 and practiced there
with Richard BARTLETT Esq, one year. Then practiced in Newmarket, N. H, from
Jul 1827 until Oct 1847; then Exeter, N. H, from 1847 to 1856 with Hon Amos
TUCK, since then alone. Representative to Legislature from Newmarket 1839/41
and from Exeter 1854. Was U.S, District Attorney for N. H, Jun 21 1849 till
1853. Judge of Probate, County of Rockingham Jun 1857; lived in Exeter, N. H.
