Narrative

"He died in Salem Nov 7 1865, and was buried Nov 8, his funeral being
attended by Henfield Division Sons of Temperance, and by the Salem Cadets. He
was formerly a member of Co D, 1st Mass, Heavy Artillery, from which he was
discharged for sickness. He nearly recovered his health, but a servere attack
of diptheria caused his death." Page 398 of the "Stickney Family" book gives
his birth date as Oct 7; Page 440 as Oct 4.
