Styled Dr. Fitted for college at Wilton Academy, Ct, and graduated 1841 at
the Berkshire Medical College, Pittsfield. Practised medicine in Hampshire
County 12 years, 6 of these as Physician, Mount Holyoke Female Seminary.
Appointed by Gov CLIFFORD Superintendent of State Alms House, Monson, Mass.
1853. Then same position at Juvenile Asylum, New York City. Held offices as
Coroner and Justice of the Peace when in Mass. Received the degree of Master
of Arts from Amherst College, 1856.
