Born in South Hadley; lived in Shoreham, Vt, for 4 or 5 years, then moved to
Adolphus Town, Upper Canada, on the Bay of Quinte, about 40 miles from
Kingston, up the Bay; there he married and settled, then moved across the Bay
to Sophiasburg. He earlier studied medicine with Dr Elihu DWIGHT.
